It’s getting darker outside.
The cold wind, patrolling my door.
Subtly, the thunder calls for me.
I dim the lights and mark my way to the balcony
And I don’t know why but
I can’t help but smile.
I step out and suddenly, my world
Is a blackhole.
My thoughts, dissipate.
My anxiety, now calm.
I spread my arms and surrender. The rain consumes me.
I can’t move.
The lightening cries one more time.
And as those drops accost my bare skin yet again,
Each centimetre of my skin, privileged enough
To have been caressed by yours,
Once upon a time,
It’s bliss, I know.
