Ballet and Balance
Balance is the key to everything. What we do, think, say, eat, feel, they all require awareness, and through this awareness, we can grow. -Koi Presco
Ballet is categorized as a performance dance that originated during the Italian Renaissance and developed into a concert dance form in France & Russia. Balance is a key factor when doing Ballet. All parts of an adagio combination require balance and much control. Not only your physical strength is put to test but also the discipline, concentration, the focus is a major part of the balance. The turns have a starting point and an ending point and the performer should never land at two distinct points when the turn is about to end. This type of dance form requires a lot of dedication, discipline and balance.
There are many lessons that one can learn from the surroundings. The most important lesson is “Balance”. It’s something that is cannot be taught, it can only be learnt from past experiences. We encounter failures quite often but what matters is the way we rebound back to normal life, the way we perceive our failure, the way we interpret the situation.
How we regain the balance back in our lives depicts our personality. It’s not so easy to get back to a normal lifestyle after you lose something or someone in your life, but the determination and a hope that everything will be alright helps one to get back to the normal lifestyle.
For instance, let’s assume that a person is undergoing midlife crisis (According to Wikipedia, a transition of identity and self-confidence that can occur in middle-aged individuals, typically 45–64 years old. The phenomenon is described as a psychological crisis brought about by events that highlight a person’s growing age, inevitable mortality, and possible shortcomings of accomplishments in life. This may produce feelings of depression, remorse, and anxiety, or the desire to achieve youthfulness or make drastic changes to the current lifestyle).
It’s the time when most of the people lose their balance in life. They lack direction in their life, that’s the time when they need to follow their passion or pursue something that gives them eternal happiness. It’s never too late to pursue your hobby. Achievements just make you happy for a short period of time, whereas your hobbies give your soul beautiful satisfaction when you try to regain balance in Life.
It’s never too late to take a step back to compute our mistakes and correct them!
