Stress can be defined as any input that triggers the body’s stress response. We can categorize stress as eustress and distress.
Eustress / The Positive stress :
- Motivates, focuses energy.
- Is short-term.
- Is perceived as within our coping abilities.
- Feels exciting.
- Improves performance.
Distress / The Bad kind of stress :
- Causes anxiety or concern.
- Can be short- or long-term.
- Is perceived as outside of our coping abilities.
- Feels unpleasant.
- Decreases performance.
- Can lead to mental and physical problems.

most common type of stress. This is your body’s immediate reaction to a new challenge, event, or demand, and it triggers your fight-or-flight response. As the pressures of a near-miss automobile accident, an argument with a family member, or a costly mistake at work sink in, your body turns on this biological response.
Chronic stress :
if acute stress isn’t resolved it starts to pile up like dirty dishes in the sink and eventually ends up giving birth to chronic stress. This stress is constant and doesn’t go away. It can stem from things like:
- a dysfunctional family
- an unhappy marriage
- a bad job

Psychological / Neural –
our thoughts are the best judges. thought process is a cycle of generation ( genesis), leaving stains (effects caused) and outcomes (repercussion ). being mentally tired leaves a man feeling out of mind / least interested / in an unhealthy state. it also causes flawed decision making, memory lapses and loss of concentration. those little outburts over little issues are reults of this.

- irregular sleeping patterns
Changes in behaviour are reflected/ caused due to mental stress. This effects two areas work and relationships namely. Both of these are crucial aspects to one’s life. Disruptions in these two sectors causes cascading problems in the process to overcome stress, need for distraction become more severe.
till here, the stress which was once a mental/ emotionsal/ pscyhological affair turns into a physical one. Frequent occurences of stomachaches, bad digestion, headaches, reduced immune system and inflammation (in consequent stages) are detected.
Time doesn’t lead to complete healing, but it allows disrupted emotions to return to equilibrium.
