Lesson 10 A – Battling the negative emotion
I am the child who likes to watch Disney movies and listen to every word so closely that I make it into a life lesson. The following are lessons I drafted after watching some kickass youtube videos – links to which are given under source credits.
Let’s begin- shall we?
*physically remove yourself from your safe/ comfort zone and do what you really want to.
*sometimes we forget that there is a world out there because we are always in our minds. //Rowena Tsai
*Do whatever you want to – intentionally. Have a motive for each of your actions – know you are the doer of the action. Have control over yourself. Take responsibility for it.
“I dont have time” – you’ll make time for what is important
“I do not want to think about it” – this is precisely why you need to think about it
“”I’ll do it later” – do it now.
* Understand and embrace the cycles of your life. Winters are the low points and summers are the high peaks. // Rebecca Campbell // Aileen Xu
*Cellphones were not always a thing – be under no compulsion to text right away. Take your own time. Do not be a slave to it. Stop being the nice person and worrying about texting just as quickly the message drops in. Remember there was a time – where in people could not text you whatever they wanted whenever they wanted – and they still enjoyed that time. //Carrie Rad
*It is okay for people to not understand what your dreams are, what you aspire to do in your life – as long as you are passionate about it.
*Celebrate your little victories. Celebrate your good days. Celebrate your emotions. Be a celebration.
*Remember – what you have now – is something you once wished for.
